It’s important to write things down as soon as you can, to help keep your recollection as accurate as possible. All claims of abuse and neglect will be investigation, and false or incorrect information can throw things off course, or even make investigators believe that nothing has happened when the child is at risk. Prompt reporting helps to make sure that the child faces as little continuing risk as possible.
