What about writing haiku that reflect the different parts of the day. Or if you want want to take a more spiriual approach why not pray in the form of a haiku through the hours of the day.
Here’s some examples of how this could be done.
Dawn
Birds’ songs lightly creep
Under my window softly.
Wake up Sleepy Head!
Day
Sun smiles as i drive
Winking encouraging me.
Something new Dear One!
Dusk
Sky colors soften
Pastels, first star, the moon.
Relax now Darling!
Dark
Crickets cicadas
night air sounds sing sweetly.
Sleep now Beloved!
Praying the hours
Vigils
Waiting now in gratitude
comfort with the dark
i stretch to open my heartspace
Lauds
Radiant hope assails me
bleeding essence: gold
surrounded joy astounding
Prime
Awareness alerts me now
day is mine to love
blinding blue is the morning
Terse
Enveloped by Spirit skies
gathering brightness
the days ripening sweetness
Sext
Brightness gathered around us
sustenance soothing
replenishing energy
None
The day sobers and stretches
lengthening shadows
turbid cloud forms arising
Vespers
Evening calls for forgiveness
dashed expectations
Our hearts wanting love songs
Compline
Darkness beckons memory
gentle acceptance
silent stillness surrounds us
Here is another Haiku that I wrote recently.
Today is another opportunity to share your thoughts.
Sunrise
Sun waiting behind
Heavy lids of darken’d clouds
Day ready to wake.
